🔒 Runs entirely in your browser, and keeps working offline once it has loaded. No account, nothing to install — even the crackle is made on the spot.
How to use it
Start your music the way you normally would, then come back here and press Go full screen. The controls fade away after a few seconds and the mouse pointer hides, leaving just the fire. Move the mouse or tap the screen to bring the controls back, and press Esc to leave full screen.
The Fire slider goes from a bed of glowing embers to a roaring blaze, and the light on the walls and logs rises and falls with the flames. Campfire moves you outdoors: a ring of stones under a starry sky, with the sparks drifting higher and a little smoke.
The crackle is off to start with, because you’re probably playing your own music. Switch it on for a soft roar and crackle under the music, or on its own. With the sleep timer set, the fire burns down to embers over the last minute and a half, the crackle fades away, then everything stops and your screen is allowed to sleep.
Good places to put it
- A TV. Open this page in the TV’s browser, or cast a Chrome tab to it, and go full screen. It’s a fireplace for a room that doesn’t have one.
- A second monitor beside your work, for something warm in the corner of your eye.
- A stream or a listening party. Set it up the way you like, press Copy fire-only link, and use that link as a browser source in OBS. It opens straight into the fire with no buttons, header or text (press Esc to get back to the page).
- A tablet on the bedside table, with the clock on and the fire set to burn down.
