Junior Digital Production Assistant

Casual · based in Sydney · entry-level · learning on the job alongside the Director

A broad, hands-on role for someone early in their career who wants to learn how a small modern I.T. consultancy actually runs. You’ll work directly with the Director on real client work across web, video, software, and social.

What you’d be doing

  • Helping build and update client websites (mostly WordPress and modern static frameworks)
  • Editing videos for clients and for our own marketing
  • Installing and configuring software on client machines
  • Updating client social media and helping with content scheduling
  • Helping document work and keep client files organised
  • Picking up new tools and AI workflows alongside us as they emerge

What we’re looking for

  • Comfortable with computers and curious about how they work
  • Some experience with one or more of: a CMS (WordPress), basic HTML/CSS, video editing software, or social media management
  • Strong written communication - much of the work is client-facing
  • Genuine interest in AI tools and willingness to use them daily
  • Honest, organised, and OK to ask questions when you’re not sure
  • Based in Sydney

What we offer

  • Mentoring from a director with 20+ years in web, software, and I.T. consulting
  • A small-team environment where what you do actually matters
  • Variety - web, video, software, social, and a bit of everything else
  • Honest hours, honest pay, and the time and tools to learn properly

Send us a short intro about yourself, anything you’ve built or worked on (links welcome), and a CV if you have one. We read every application.

Casual Video Editor

Casual · based in Sydney (remote considered) · DaVinci Resolve · project-based hours

Edit short-form and long-form video for our clients and our own marketing. Work is project-based - some weeks busy, some quiet - so this suits someone who already has other work or study going on and wants a reliable side stream of paid edits.

What you’d be doing

  • Cutting client videos in DaVinci Resolve - interviews, promos, social cut-downs, event recaps, explainers
  • Colour grading, audio clean-up, captions, basic motion graphics and lower-thirds
  • Reformatting masters into vertical, square, and horizontal deliverables for different platforms
  • Managing project files, proxies, and exports cleanly so future edits aren’t a mess
  • Occasionally using AI tools for transcription, rough cuts, or b-roll generation where it genuinely helps

What we’re looking for

  • Strong working knowledge of DaVinci Resolve (Edit page, Fairlight, Fusion basics, Deliver) - this is non-negotiable
  • A showreel or 2-3 recent edits you can point us to
  • Good sense of pacing, music, and when to leave a shot alone
  • Reliable turnaround times and clear communication when something will be late
  • Own gear and a machine that can actually edit 4K without melting
  • Have an ABN, or be happy to set one up - this is a casual contractor role

Casual Graphic Designer

Casual · based in Sydney (remote considered) · print + digital · project-based hours

Design support for client brands and for our own work - logos, social tiles, decks, one-pagers, light brand systems. Project-based, sensible briefs, no agency politics.

What you’d be doing

  • Designing social media tiles, story templates, and ad creative for clients
  • Building decks, proposals, one-pagers, and pitch documents
  • Light brand work - logo refreshes, colour and type systems, simple style guides
  • Web assets - hero images, illustrations, icons, banner sets
  • Print-ready files for business cards, flyers, signage when needed

What we’re looking for

  • Confident in Figma and the Adobe suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign)
  • A portfolio that shows range - not just one style on one type of brand
  • Solid typography instincts and an eye for hierarchy
  • Can take a rough brief and come back with something sensible rather than needing every pixel directed
  • Comfortable iterating with feedback without taking it personally
  • Have an ABN, or be happy to set one up - this is a casual contractor role

Casual Social Media & Content

Casual · based in Sydney (remote considered) · writing + scheduling · project-based hours

Run social channels for a small handful of clients - plan content, write captions, schedule posts, light community management, and pull together monthly snapshots. Suits someone who already does this for a couple of brands and has bandwidth for more.

What you’d be doing

  • Planning monthly content calendars across Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, and TikTok where it fits the brand
  • Writing captions, hooks, and short-form copy that sounds like a human, not a template
  • Scheduling posts via Meta Business Suite, Buffer, Later, or similar
  • Light community management - replying to comments and DMs in the client’s voice
  • Pulling monthly performance snapshots so clients can see what worked and what didn’t
  • Briefing our designer and video editor when posts need creative made

What we’re looking for

  • Genuinely strong writing - especially short-form, conversational, on-brand
  • Experience running social for at least one real business (your own counts)
  • Know your way around Meta Business Suite and at least one scheduling tool
  • Comfortable using Canva and basic AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude) as part of your workflow - but not letting them write the final copy unsupervised
  • Organised, deadline-driven, and OK working across a few brand voices at once
  • Have an ABN, or be happy to set one up - this is a casual contractor role
