What makes a good slug?
A “slug” is the human-readable part of a URL — the /best-coffee-in-sydney bit. Good slugs are lowercase, use hyphens between words, drop accents and punctuation, and stay short and descriptive. Search engines and people both read them, so a clean slug helps SEO and looks trustworthy. This tool normalises accented characters (é → e), removes anything that isn’t a letter, number or separator, and collapses repeated separators.
